Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven Neuromorphic Systems Engineer to join our team and lead the modeling, simulation, and demonstration of our neuromorphic computing systems. In this role, you will work closely with our Neuromorphic Device Engineer to develop mathematical models and system-level simulations of our devices and circuits, design and implement control systems and interfaces for our neuromorphic testbeds, and conduct benchmarking experiments to measure the performance of our systems. You will have the opportunity to work on the development of a groundbreaking technology that has the potential to transform computing as we know it and pave the way for artificial intelligence that benefits all human beings.

  • Develop mathematical models and system-level simulations of neuromorphic devices and circuits using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.

  • Design and implement the control system and interface for the neuromorphic testbeds, including PCB design, FPGA programming, and firmware development.

  • Conduct neuromorphic benchmarking experiments to measure the energy efficiency, speed, and accuracy of our systems.

  • Collaborate with the Neuromorphic Device Engineer to optimize the device and system design based on the experimental results.

  • Create demonstration setups and application notes showcasing the capabilities and advantages of our neuromorphic computing solutions.

  • Contribute to the development of intellectual property (IP) and the publication of scientific papers and patents.

  • PhD or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a strong background in neuromorphic computing and hardware-software co-design.

  • Experience with circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE), PCB design software (e.g., Altium), and FPGA development platforms (e.g., Xilinx, Intel).

  • Familiarity with twistronics and 2D material-based devices is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C/C++, and hardware description languages (e.g., VHDL, Verilog).

  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) for benchmarking and demonstration purposes.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
